Rand Realty Joins Forces with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate

When you take a well-known brand that is inextricably linked to home, garden and lifestyle and combine it with real estate, what you get is a real estate brokerage that’s positioning itself as a company that is all about community, backyards, decorating and, well, lifestyle.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is the latest entrant into the crowded, heavily franchised real estate brokerage industry and it’s betting on the power of its brand as it expands across Western Canada.

“What we’ve chosen to do is to bring a brand into the Canadian marketplace that really celebrates that your real estate decision is a lifestyle decision,” says Rob Vanden Broek, president of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada. “It has tremendous brand awareness.”

The brokerage is targeting a younger demographic, integrating social media into its service offering in an attempt to differentiate itself in an already congested industry. “We’re introducing this brand that we think speaks to that [younger] generation particularly,” he says.
